I found a note the other day
Among my children's papers
scribbled drawings
and photographs
It said, "I loved you Sherman, I missed you Sherman"
From Tim.
This, amid little notes from Dandy
saying "I love you Mommy" with pink hearts and smiley faces.
And cards from Vince. "For my Mom. Love Vincente."
"I loved you Sherman" is all there is from Tim.
His only proclamation of love
was written to a dead hermit crab.
